Dear Icelandic Friends,

As the new season approaches, our team at Camper Iceland wanted to reach out and ask about your favorite waterfalls in beautiful Iceland. We invite you to share your personal stories and photos with us so that we can inspire fellow travelers planning their trips to this enchanting land.

To kick things off, let me tell you about my own favorite waterfall – Hjálparfoss. This stunning gem is conveniently located just over an hour away from Reykjavík, making it perfect for both day trips or as part of a longer journey around the country. To get there, simply head onto Route 1 towards Selfoss before turning northward onto Route 30. Continue along this route until you see signs directing you toward Hjálparfoss via Route 32. The entire drive should only take approximately one and a half hours, covering roughly 72 miles (116 kilometers) of breathtaking scenery.

Hjálparfoss holds a special place in my heart due to its unique double cascade formation, which creates an unforgettable sight amidst the surrounding lava fields. It truly encapsulates the raw beauty of nature found throughout Iceland.

Please feel free to reply to this with your own recommendations and tales of adventure involving your preferred waterfalls across Iceland. Our dedicated team here at Camper Iceland looks forward to helping make your future travels even more memorable by providing expert advice tailored specifically to your interests.

Wishing you all safe journeys ahead!

Best regards,

Marion Johnson
