There will be a total of ten bonfire events happening in the capital city. The largest will be at Gufunes near Gufunesbær, and Geirsnef. However, should the winds exceed 10m/s, the bonfires will be postponed. A decision will be made at noon on New Year’s eve.
Should events go according to plan, you can expect the bonfires to be lit around the Capital Region between 8.30 PM and 9 PM.

In the Westfjords, there will be a bonfire lit at Ísafjörður, beginning at 8.30 PM.
