The company determined the safest countries by analyzing its own data collected since 2016, which includes surveys of American travelers regarding their attitudes towards travel safety. They also considered factors such as the Global Peace Index, Numbeo data, and GeoSure Global scores of major cities in each country.
Iceland moved up from the ninth position in 2024, thanks to its minimal traffic and uncrowded landscapes. With just one major road, the risk of traffic accidents is significantly reduced. However, it's essential to keep in mind that Iceland is a volcanic island, so occasional volcanic eruptions may occur. Rest assured, the locals are well-prepared and remain calm during these events.
